Jesus. Must confess I wondered why there were two employees just hanging around at the top on the original clip. I'm baffled as to why they just waited to see what happened to the next person,.
Will never know if the lady would have been able to hang on if the employee didn't grab her hand but it will probably live with the poor girl forever.
Also did you note a man at the bottom, possibly the husband. Poor fella.

The women who healf heartedly tried to help her KNEW before that there was something wrong with the floor panel, but let that lady and her kid come up the esclator.

Just watched this a couple of times, I think the reason the woman made a half hearted attempt and looked hesitant to save her was worried about falling in herself, which is kind of understandable. She did act quickly with the kid.
Nasty stuff though.

I think those that are so quick to codemn the actions of those 2 women who were present should perhaps show a bit of empathy and consider if they would be able to react appropriately in the split second that this happened. It's all very well viewing it and making an intelligent decision in your own time but they didn't have that luxury.
Those 2 will no doubt live with this nightmare for the rest of their days.

Anyone see the new footage? 2 mall employees (seen at the top of the escalator) were on it 5 minutes before and it nearly went then, so obviously they waited to see what would happen to the next person that got on! Dumb fucks.

Tragic as the OP maybe....
It's not as bad as a Russian speeding car driver, who doing 40kph, then accelerates to 70 to try and avoid the bloke with 3 young kids who is crossing the road, who starts running to try and avoid the car, but it goes wrong for both strategies and the result is dread.

Thats really wound me up. fancy pulling her arm when she obviously has not got the strength to pull the poor woman out. She had stable hold with both forearms on the step and that fucking idiot grabbed her arm and she lost balance and fell in . I fucking hate the mainland Chinese this morning more than I did last night Ive seen too many people die at work because of these fukcing idiots walking around with their head up their arses

It was the stupid old woman who grabbed her arm that killed her, she looked like she was going to get out, if someone got he under the arms, , but the stupid old bastard gabbed one of her hands and she couldn't hold on with one arm/had

If a human body fell into the gear mechanism, the motor that drives those gears would encounter a mechanical resistance which would make the motor work harder, this increase in work rate would most likely cause either the over current device to trip the motor or kill power to the entire escalator.
Well by the time it's done all that the poor person is dog meat.

Hahahaha, so those deaths were user errors and they should be blamed for what happened and it was a bad design, seriously mate give it up and just admit a stop button MIGHT have saved their lives
I accept that someone has to be alert enough to use it but it's a step in the right direction
